Our Work
At the Little Free Pantry Batavia, we don’t just follow the traditional paths—we pave new ones to meet the unique and urgent needs of our community. Over the years, our projects have ranged from creating urban garden programs to offering pet assistance, all with the goal of filling the gaps left by more established organizations. We pride ourselves on being flexible and responsive, addressing challenges as they arise and ensuring no one in our community is left behind.

Maternal and baby support program
Thanks to a grant provided by FIdellis in 2025 we were able to expand our Baby and Maternal Support Program! This growth will allows us to reach even more families in need, providing enhanced services, including increased access to baby supplies, nutritional support, and emergency housing.

Agriculture and Adventure Program for Teens
The Agriculture and Adventure Program at Little Free Pantry Batavia offers teens in the community a unique opportunity to explore nature and learn valuable life skills. Through trips to local forests, participants discover plants, animals, and foraging techniques, while hands-on farm experiences teach them how to grow seeds and compost. Teens also learn to turn foraged foods into nutritious meals, building a deeper connection to where food comes from. This program fosters community building and provides a fun, educational way for teens to engage with the wonders of nature.

Supporting local Youth
Beyond the Agriculture and Adventure Program, Little Free Pantry Batavia supports local youth through a variety of initiatives aimed at promoting well-being and community engagement. We provide essentials like food, clothing, and hygiene products to ensure that young people have their basic needs met. Our partnerships with local schools and organizations help connect youth with additional resources and opportunities for personal growth. We also offer volunteer opportunities, empowering teens to give back to their community while learning valuable skills in leadership, teamwork, and service.
Pop-ups
Our pop-up events at Little Free Pantry Batavia bring essential resources like fresh food, clothing, and hygiene products directly to the community. We connect with hundreds of families throughout the year, providing support where it’s needed most. Last year, our annual Christmas event served over 600 children, making a meaningful impact during the holiday season. These pop-ups ensure that everyone has access to vital resources in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
